Rod Jones' diverse education and career experience allow him to blend engineering and manufacturing with his application of psychology to develop an expertise concentrated in adult learning.
Rod Jones has over thirty years of experience in industrial and commercial markets for IBM, American Axle, GE Fanuc, DeVlieg Machine Company and the establishment of his own business development, research and training consulting firm, Decision Technology. Rod had held positions as a Machinist, Industrial Engineer, CNC Sales and Applications Engineer, as well as Machine Tool Sales Manager. Rod also has over ten years of experience in the educational and not-for-profit sectors, including managing a private academy and teaching as an adjunct college professor. During his 15 years as President of Decision Technology, Rod worked with over 100 of the world's premier manufacturing and technology suppliers. He has been a consultant, trainer and speaker for the Association of Manufacturing Technology (AMT), the American Machine Tool Distributor's Association (AMTDA) and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). Rod is a co-author of several books including AMTDA's "Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer" training curriculum, "Speaking of Success" with Steven Covey and "Marketing Strategies that Really Work" with Jay Levinson.
Rod holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Oakland University, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Applied Psychology from the California Graduate School of Theology. Since his first plant tour as a child at the John Deere facility in Waterloo, Iowa, Marlow Knabach has been driven by a passion for manufacturing and its impact on society.
Marlow earned a Manufacturing Technology degree with a concentration in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Stout in 1988. Upon graduation, Marlow developed comprehensive process solutions in a Rapid Reaction Facility for Texas Instruments- Defense Division. As a user of Mori Seiki equipment at Texas Instruments, Marlow's move to the position of Applications Engineer at Mori Seiki was a natural transition. During his tenure at Mori Seiki, Marlow has served in various capacities, including Project Manager, National Applications Manager and Vice President of Marketing. Marlow earned his MBA in Marketing Management from Benedictine University in 2006.
In addition to providing strategic direction and leadership for MSU, Marlow will be responsible for course instruction involving various topics, including Program and Operation Training, Conversational Programming, High Speed Machining and Custom Macro Programming.

John Roufis earned dual certificates in Electrical Maintenance and Electronics Maintenance from the Coyne American Institute.
Upon completion of his certificates, John began his career supporting high speed packaging machinery. John's inherent drive to master complex machine systems and emerging technologies attracted him to the machine tool industry at an early age. He has since served as a Service Engineer, rising to the position of Service Center Team Leader over the years. John's appreciation and commitment to customer service makes him the ideal candidate to lead the launch of Mori Seiki's Midwest Call Center, which continues to grow and expand year after year.
John will be responsible for course instruction on topics including Electrical Diagnostics for Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls, as well as various product specific courses.

Since 1983, Mike Jouglard has been an instrumental part of Mori Seiki's success in the Americas. Mike's ability to handle a wide variety of work assignments has led to key management assignments in Engineering, Service, Systems, Marketing and Education. In many cases, he established these departments and developed the business processes.
Mike was trained as a machinist and actually ran his first Mori Seiki machine at a small Texas shop in 1978, an NCFL-1500. He was one of the very first employees of Mori Seiki USA and has lived the history of the company as it rapidly expanded in the United States. Early on, Mike was involved with training customers. He wrote the first USA manuals and taught programming and operation classes. Mori Seiki's IMTS show activity has benefited from Mike's program management contribution for the past 20 years. Mike continues to keep his technical skills up-to-date. His love of technical information and computer systems makes him a natural to lead MSU's advanced Education On Demand online capabilities. Mike also oversees the MSU South campus located in the Dallas Technical Center. Mike's vast knowledge of Mori Seiki machines, systems and business practices make him an invaluable asset to Mori Seiki University. Mike earned the industry's CMTSE certification in 2003. At MSU, he applies his strong project and budget management skills. Mike and his wife have five daughters and eight granddaughters.

Miles Cotillier started building his metal working skills 40 years ago as an apprentice machinist.
After completing six years of military service, Miles went on to study at Embry Riddle Aeronautical and Fayetteville State Universities. He continued his undergraduate studies at Indiana University, and DeVry Institute of Electronics, attaining an electronics degree from Oakton College in 1985.
His four decades of experience include working as a CNC service engineer, a CNC application turnkey engineer and instructor. He also has several years experience as a CNC manufacturing engineer and product engineer for CNC control integration design. He has always been passionate about education, and is fond of the time he served as a technical instructor. At a previous employer, he designed over 15 courses. He also taught more than 18 different classes including CNC control systems, CNC programming, maintenance, integration, fielded Bus integration, PLC's and automation motion control systems. In 2002, he had the honor of implementing the inaugural state-approved CNC class for a major automotive plant in the United States.
Miles has been a senior member of Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) since 1991 and is a former member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Business from the College of Management and Business from National Louis University.

Kelley Patrick has been improving engineering processes for over two decades. It is no surprise that he is constantly evolving as an instructor at Mori Seiki University.
Kelley Patrick became a certified journeyman machinist in 1989. Since then, he has grown in manufacturing through a variety of positions including: machinist, manufacturing engineer, programmer and instructor. He has broad experience in various manufacturing sectors, such as steel processing, automotive racing, medical, power and agriculture. Kelley came to Mori Seiki USA as an Application and Demonstration Engineer. However, it was quickly discovered that he had strength in instruction, having had six previous years of experience in training on CNC equipment. Kelley takes pride in knowing and understanding Mori Seiki machines and applying that knowledge in order to safely help our end-users to become more productive and efficient. Kelley has been with Mori Seiki since 2007 and specializes in the NT integrated 5-axis machine model line.

Patricia Quezada has work experience in instructional environments ranging from special needs children to continuing adult education at Career Education Corporation in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
During her tenure at Career Education Corporation, Patricia facilitated testing and evaluation procedures for employee training and reported directly to the Corporate Admissions Training Director. Patricia's focus on training and education enable her to handle multiple projects at once and maintain effective operations. She is a valuable asset to Mori Seiki University. Her experience also includes 2 years in corporate finance and 6 years in retail management.
Patricia will be responsible for a variety of operational duties including scheduling, registration, course fulfillment, travel accommodations and general administration.

Donna Kempkens has been involved in professional training since 2001. She thrives in her position of Training Administrator at Mori Seiki University.
Donna Kempkens has over eleven years of experience as a training supervisor at her previous position and over two years of administrative experience at Mori Seiki University. Among her many responsibilities include organization of student evaluations, creation of course catalogs and reports for the training department. Donna is likely to be among one of the first and last people you will meet at the university, as she is very involved in coordination for MSU guests. Donna has the distinction of being the Mori Seiki University employee with the greatest number of Mori Seiki University Education On Demand course hours completed, and continues her education at Ashford University in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree.

Ross Morgenroth graduated with Honors in 1992 from ITT Technical Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana earning an Associates of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering Technology and a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Automated Manufacturing Technology.
Ross then joined Kinetic Concepts Inc. in San Antonio, Texas, as a Programmer. Applying his solid education, Ross quickly was responsible for programming three axis mills, two axis lathes and sheet metal punch layouts and programming. In November of 2000, Ross moved to Irving, Texas and joined Mori Seiki and hit the ground running. Today, Ross has become a specialist with Mori Seiki in Multi-Axis Lathes and Integrated Mill/ Turn machines.

Jim Stephens' fascination with complex mechanical systems drove him to the machine tool industry.
He successfully completed a 4-year apprenticeship with Cincinnati Milacron in England. Jim also received a National Certificate for Mechanical and Production Engineering from Birmingham Polytechnic in England. Jim then began his career in the UK as an Electro-Mechanical Runoff and Test Engineer for Cincinnati Milacron, where he advanced from the production environment into Research and Development. After moving to the U.S., Jim joined Mori Seiki in 1991 as a Service Engineer and has since been promoted to Service Team Leader at the Corporate Headquarters. He has been instrumental in developing service procedures and course curriculum.
Jim's responsibilities include instruction in Electrical Diagnostics for Fanuc and Mitsubishi Controls, Installation and Adjustment, as well as various product specific courses.

Jeff Snow, at the young age of 19, already full of ambition and an affinity for manufacturing, was managing the electronics assembly operations at Power Conversion Products in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
After advancing into the Research and Development Center, Jeff pursued his interest in metal cutting by joining the local Mori Seiki distributor as a Service Engineer. From there, he was promoted to Regional Service Manager, and later transferred to the Application Engineering Department before joining Mori Seiki as the Applications Team Leader. In every capacity, Jeff has realized success by imparting his knowledge and expertise to others so that they also strive for excellence and achieve success. Jeff earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Engineering from McHenry County College, as well as a Machining Certificate from the College of Lake County.
Jeff will be responsible for course nstruction on topics involving Programming and Operation Training and Advanced Mori-APL and Mori-APM programming.
